The act of mending and repurposing has seemingly become a lost art. Objects old and worn-out are shelved or thrown out and readily replaced with newer, shinier purchases. 

Amado Gudek and Of Trying Times come together to explore the possibilities of giving seemingly banal and broken objects a new life. Playing on the delicate nature of clay and the resilience of bioresin, familiar clay forms are transformed through the combination of the two contrasting mediums. Broken pieces of clay are mended back into a single piece, highlighting crack lines that may otherwise be considered a defect.

Designed and handcrafted in Singapore, this collection hopes to kindle the kinder spirit in us so that broken and old wares too, get a second chance.
